Having rarely worked with crochet in such an experimental way before, going into this project I was excited to figure out new ways to play with the medium. I discovered sustainable ways to incorporate yarn scraps into my work in a way that I enjoy tactilely and aesthetically.  I used a variety of methods, including crocheting, knotting, sewing, glueing, shredding, burning, attaching and re-attaching. Yet I found some of my favorite samples to be the ones that I stumbled upon by accident. I embraced the mistakes, ignoring missed stitches or messy knots, tying off loose ends to let them hang.
