‘Survival Mode’ is driven by the question, "What have you repurposed as a weapon to defend yourself when you had nothing else to resort to? If you didn’t have pepper spray on you, what would you use?" This project draws attention to the feeling of being on high alert (survival mode) that AFAB, queer, and trans individuals feel on a daily basis, reframing everyday items as violent weapons in time of need.
